Garlic is my friend!

Not so good for making friends (at least if you are the only one eating it). :D Seriously! So make something garlicky and yummy and share it. Trust me.

I had all these garlic-laced dishes I was planning... so I had to get some more garlic powder. I hit VG's Food Center at about 2:30am on my way home from work. 24 hour grocery stores are awesome for shopping in late at night. They are stocking shelves. If you can navigate around all the boxes (I leave the cart at the end of the aisle and run down and load my arms up), you can't beat the help. All the workers are super friendly and helpful (*disclaimer, this is at MY store, I don't know about yours!).

So I'm standing in the spice aisle staring at the empty row for the large bottle of garlic powder, debating if I should pay too much for the smaller container, when my eyes wandered a wee bit to the left and I found... insert drumroll here... Garlic Bread Sprinkle. Oh my, just what have I found? I bought that and the garlic powder, a few other odds and ends, and scurried on home.

One of the garlic dishes I was preparing was to be garlic bread. Several days before I purchased a loaf of Aunt Millie's Texas Toast to make French toast, figuring the rest would make some mighty fine garlic bread. I buttered up both sides of the bread, shook on copious amounts of the Garlic Bread Sprinkle, and fried it on up in a pan. HEAVEN! Trust me on this! I'm making some bagel chips right now and trying it on them.
